Lasting Power of Attorney Service
We will support you through the process of creating your LPA, whether it be for Health and Welfare or Financial and Property. We will explain the entire process of making an LPA to give you complete piece of mind and comfort in knowing that you are in the best hands.
We can visit you at home or speak with you over the phone or do a video call to speak with you and advise how best to make your LPA.
Once we have advised you on your best options and have finalised the documents, we will explain how to get them legally registered with the Office of the Public Guardian.
Why make a Will?
Are you married, divorced or in a Civil Partnership? Do you have children? Do you have specific funeral wishes? Do you have a more complex family situation?
Regardless of your personal circumstances, you need to make a Will to ensure that your estate is distributed according to your wishes when you pass away.
If you do not make a Will, the laws of intestacy decide who gets what from your estate and you will have no control over how your estate is distributed.
If you haven't made a Will, or made one many years ago, get in touch with us to see how we can help you to get your estate in order.
Why do I need an LPA?
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document in which you - the donor - gives a trusted individual the power to make decisions on your behalf. This could be a family member, loved one or even a professional.
There are two types of LPA's; Health and Welfare & Property and Financial affairs. Both are put in place to ensure that when you lose the capacity to make your own important decisions, these decisions can be made by a person or groups of persons you trust to make the right decisions for you.
We can help you create both LPA's and guide you through the process of registration with the Office of the Public Guardian.
